Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. For those who’ve read Something From Tiffany’s, you know it can be a bit disastrous.
Originally released in 2011 and now revamped for 2022, the book is now a movie set to premiere on Amazon Prime on December 9th. Even though you might not remember Something From Tiffany’s when it was originally released, the revised version is an absolute delight.
While a lot of us are spending the holidays watching Hallmark Christmas movies, Something From Tiffany’s is something a bit different than your run-of-the-mill Hallmark offering. It’s especially great if you’re looking for a bit of tension and angst in your Christmas stories.
Before we get too in-depth though, I have to share the trailer below and talk about some of my favorite moments from the trailer so let’s get into it.
The trailer for Something From Tiffany’s is here to bolster your Christmas spirit.
As you can see, the trailer is surprisingly not that long with a runtime of just under 2 minutes but the trailer doesn’t even take up the whole 2 minutes. I feel like that’s the perfect length as some trailers tend to give too much away. If you haven’t read Something From Tiffany’s though, the trailer doesn’t make you feel lost. With that being said though, let’s get into some of my favorite moments.
The one major takeaway I got from the trailer is that this movie was perfectly cast. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like every single casting choice was incredible. While I do feel like certain physical traits were thrown out the window, it is nice to see that each of the characters is almost exactly how I pictured them.
Another moment I really loved was seeing Rachel in her element. In the book, we really see how dedicated and passionate Rachel is about her business. She’s a baker and it’s clear how much she loves food and making sure people love her food, too. In the moments we see her, it’s obvious she loves her job. It’s such a huge part of her character in the story so it’s nice to see it hasn’t changed.
Last but certainly not least, I feel like the trailer gives away enough of the story without getting into the finer details. Yes, you can pull the basic plot from the trailer but the nitty-gritty details and those moments of angst and tension are nowhere to be seen. Plus this is a Christmas movie and it’s set in New York City so it should give you all of the holly jolly feelings you’re craving this December.
Something From Tiffany’s will drop on December 9th as an Amazon Prime Video original.
