Smallville’s Impulse actor, Kyle Gallner, is ready to join James Gunn’s DC Universe as he shows off his archery skills, with fans wanting him to play the Green Arrow in a potential reboot project. As 2023 marks the end of the DCEU, a new DC Universe is on its way from Gunn and Peter Safran. DC Studios are already developing several movies and TV shows, with new iterations of DC heroes coming to life in live-action.
One DC superhero fans are hoping to see in Gunn’s DC Universe is Oliver Queen, a.k.a. the Green Arrow, who was recently played by Stephen Amell in the Arrowverse. Fans have been campaigning for Gallner, who appeared in episodes of Smallville as the DC speedster, Impulse, to take up the role and the actor himself is more than game for the job. Gallner recently shared on Twitter some of his archery skills while hashtagging Green Arrow, clearly hinting that he would want to play the Emerald Archer.
Ironically, when Gallner was on Smallville, it was at the same time as Justin Hartley’s Green Arrow, who recruited Bart for the show’s version of the Justice League. Gallner’s last appearance as Impulse was in Smallville season 8, which aired all the way back in 2009.
