Apple TV+ has given Slow Horses a two-season renewal.
The darkly humorous spy drama takes inspiration from Mick Herron‘s Slough House series of novels. The first season, which premiered in April, was based on the novel Slow Horses, and Season 2, set to air later this year, will be an adaptation of the book Dead Lions. Seasons 3 and 4 will take stories from Real Tigers and Spook Street, according to Variety.
The series follows a dysfunctional group of British intelligence agents who serve in a lowly regarded department of MI5 known as Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes. Gary Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, a brilliant but difficult leader of the team. The cast includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan and Jonathan Pryce.
For Season 3, the Slough House team will supposedly work together to stop an agent gone rogue after one of their own gets kidnapped. Season 4 will then open with a bombing that reveals threatening personal secrets.
