Slow Horses, Apple TV+‘s spy thriller based on Mick Herron’s Slough House book series, is a slow-burn that’s well worth the wait. Hoping to escape spy purgatory and earn another shot at the big leagues, ambitious agent River Cartwright (Jack Lowden) works with the disgraced team to solve a high-stakes crime. With concise, compelling six-episode seasons, Slow Horses is a sharp, satisfying series that sports a catchy original theme song by Mick Jagger. Season 2 premiered on December 2, 2022.
