Now is the perfect time to get reacquainted with Moordale Secondary’s finest, since the fourth and final season of Netflix’s Sex Education premieres next week. Season 3 of the charming and raunchy teen comedy aired almost exactly two years ago — that’s a very long time, considering how much television you’ve likely consumed since then! — so revisiting the eight-episode season before the final eight episodes drop will help you get back into the world of the show, while also catching you up on the things that are important going into Season 4. Sex Education follows Otis (Asa Butterfield), the son of a sex therapist (Jean, played by Gillian Anderson), who decides to set up a sex clinic at school to help students at his school. Alongside his partner-in-crime Maeve (Emma Mackey) and best friend Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), Otis navigates the issues of running a sex clinic while also navigating his own sexual woes as a teenage boy. Season 3 picks up where the second season left off; Jemima Kirke (Girls) joins the cast as the school’s new headmistress, Adam and Eric enter a new stage of their relationship, and Jean enters an unexpected new stage of life. Full of deeply relatable, heartfelt moments, the third season of Sex Education is incredibly funny and worth coming back to before Season 4.
