Hannah Waddingham is fully in the holiday spirit in the trailer for her first Christmas special.
The Ted Lasso star and multiple Emmy and Olivier Award nominee sings “What Christmas Means to Me” in the trailer for Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas, which is set to premiere Nov. 22 on Apple TV+. The clip promises an old-fashioned kind of special filled with music, dancing and a bunch of special guests.
Waddingham’s Ted Lasso co-star Phil Dunster is also set to appear in the special, as are Luke Evans, Leslie Odom Jr. and singer Sam Ryder. Juno Temple also (literally) pops up momentarily in the trailer, exclaiming “I’m your Christmas miracle!” as Waddingham screams.
The show will also feature the English National Opera, the London Gay Men’s Chorus, The Fabulous Lounge Swingers and an 18-piece band. Apple will also make the special’s soundtrack available on Nov. 22.
Done + Dusted (Apple’s Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, ABC’s Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration) is producing Home for Christmas; Hamish Hamilton directed the special, filmed at London’s Coliseum Theatre. Waddingham executive produces with Katy Mullan, Moira Ross, Raj Kapoor and Nick Todisco.
