Ryan Reynolds brings back “ugly” sweater for SickKids

Ryan Reynolds is launching his annual campaign to raise money for SickKids hospital in Toronto by putting on his now infamous red and green sweater for the fourth year in a row to bring festive magic to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) as they launch their annual fundraising campaign ahead of the holidays.

Reynolds posted a video promoting the campgain to Twitter. The video featured cameos from Toronto Maple Leafs’ hockey star Auston Matthews and actor Seth Rogen, who voiced the gold bow on Reynolds’ sweater.

In the video released this morning in collaboration with Maximum Effort, the ‘aesthetically challenged’ sweater literally takes on a familiar voice of its own. Okay, maybe it’s not completely it’s own … but instead fellow Canadian, Seth Rogen. Also making a special surprise appearance in this year’s video is Ryan’s long-time sweater buddy and star of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Auston Matthews.

SickKids Foundation Twitter account also posted the video asking to donate:

Last year, Reynold’s helped to raise $850,000 for the organization. Hopefully this year, the campaign will exceed last years amount to help even more children. To learn more about the campaign and/or to make a donation, please visit www.fundthefight.ca/sweaterlove

For those of you that want to look just like Reynolds (or happen to love Rogan) — you can actually buy the infamous sweater. The sweater can be purchased by visiting the SickKid’s store here: https://thesickkids5fifty5shop.ca/
