Robert Pattinson’s production company Icki Eneo Arlo which was founded in 2021, has teamed up with an independent production company named Spacemaker Productions. Icki Eneo Arlo which is a Los Angeles based production company. They have both combined to join in the with filming team for a new film which will be premiering at the Sundance Film Festival called Rotting In The Sun. Sebastian Silva’s outrageous black comedy will be starring Silva as himself and comedian Jordan Firstman.

What is the film about?
In the film, Sebastián Silva will be playing himself as a depressed insomniac. The filmmaker will be taking absurd amounts of ketamine and searching the internet for painless suicide methods. In an attempt to snap him out of it, his manager sends him on vacation to a nude gay beach. There, he almost dies trying to save social media influencer Jordan Firstman from drowning. The over-the-top Jordan wants to collaborate on a series, but Sebastián is resistant until a network shows interest. When Jordan arrives in Sebastián’s Mexico City studio to get to work but can’t find him anywhere, he begins to suspect that the put-upon housekeeper, Vero (Catalina Saavedra, The Maid, World Cinema Special Jury Prize for Acting, 2009 Sundance Film Festival), knows more than she’s letting on.
The film was produced by Hidden Content, The Lift, and in association with Caffeine Post, will have its world premiere at Sundance, 2023 in the Premieres section. This is Silva’s fifth time back at Sundance. He has won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize and Directing Award. Range Select is handling domestic sales.
Spacemaker Productions was founded in 2020 as an a production company and financier. Their most recentl project was the film How to Blow Up a Pipeline which premiered at TIFF. There it was sold to Neon for a 2023 Release. They also had two official selections at Cannes which were James Gray’s Armageddon Time. Which has been put on many 2022 Top 10 lists and awards buzz. Their next and Lotfy Nathan’s Harka which won “Best Actor” in Un Certain Regard. This will be Icki Eneo Arlo first film collaboration.

Who else is involved with Pattinson’s Production Company?
Another person who is apart of Pattinson’s production company is Marie-Louise Khondji. She is the founder of Le Cinéma Club which is a free, curated streaming platform presenting one film a week, with an emphasis on short formats. Prior to Le Cinéma Club, she worked in film production and distribution. She was an associate producer of Josh and Benny Safdie’s film Heaven Knows What in 2014 and Antonio Campo’s film Simon Killer in 2012. For Sundance Film Festival, she will be one of the jury members. She is also the daughter of the famous cinematographer, Darius Khondji, who also just worked with Pattinson on the film, Mickey 17 which will be released in March, 2024 by Warner Bros Discovery.
