A brand new take on the Tony and Olivier award-winning musical, Matilda the Musical tells the story of an extraordinary girl, with a vivid imagination, who dares to take a stand to change her story with miraculous results. The cast includes Emma Thompson as Miss Trunchbull, Lashana Lynch as Miss Honey and Alisha Weir as Matilda.
The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself premieres on Netflix on Oct. 28. Based on the Half Bad series of books by Sally Green, the show follows 16-year-old Nathan (Jay Lycurgo), the illegitimate son of the world’s most dangerous witch. Fearing he will follow in his father’s footsteps, Nathan is closely monitored throughout his childhood. As the boundaries between “good” and “bad” overlap, Nathan, along with allies Annalise and Gabriel, will soon discover who he truly is.
Fortune Feimster returns for her second Netflix stand-up comedy special, Fortune Feimster: Good Fortune, on Oct. 25. Expanding on her confessional brand of comedy and how she’s different than what meets the eye, Fortune reflects on her own good fortune, including some big life events she’s experienced the last couple years like falling in love with her wife and the extravagant proposal she planned that didn’t go as expected.
Prime Video’s Riches premieres on Dec. 2. The six-part drama series follows the exploits of the stylish, privileged, super-successful Richards family. When Stephen Richards (Hugh Quarshie) passes suddenly, the family’s world comes crashing down. As his business hangs in the balance, his different sets of children are about to collide as they vie for control. The L Word: Generation Q Season 3 comes to Showtime on Nov. 18 on streaming and on-demand and on linear on Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. ET.
