Remember Iron: Man The Animated Series With These New Pins

If you told someone from 1997, that Iron Man was one of the most popular super heroes world, they would be stunned. If you are too young to remember a pre-MCU world, this will probably come as a surprise to you, but outside of his comic book fans, Iron Man simply wasn’t that big of a deal.

Let me take you back to 1994. X-Men the Animated Series and Spider-Man the Animated series are dominating the super hero landscape. At this time, Marvel tried to create a show centered on Tony Stark known as Iron Man: The Animated Series.

Iron Man the Animated Series

While the show certainly has a soft spot in the hearts of those of us who grew up watching the cartoons, overall the animated Iron Man was largely forgotten until the character was resurrected and launched into stardom with 2008’s live-action film. The rest as they say, is history.

A Set of Classic Iron Man Pins

If you were an Iron Man fan before Robert Downey Jr. brought the character to the big screen, I have great news for you! A set of new Iron Man pins have come to Walt Disney World and they are a great celebration of the character’s past.

Iron Man: The Animated Series Pin

The first new Iron Man pins comes straight from the cartoon series of the 1990s. Here, Tony Stark is donning his suit and flying forward.

If you saw Iron Man: The Animated Series this character design will look familiar. The red and yellow suit seems a little more fitting than its MCU counterpart.

Tony Stark Pin

The next new Iron Man: the Animated Series pin features Tony Stark without his Iron Man helmet on.

This is the Stark that not only starred in his own TV show, but was also briefly shown in Spider-Man the Animated Series and the Fantastic Four.

Now that Robert Downey Jr. has become so synonymous with the character, it is weird to see Iron Man looking so different.

Hulk-Buster Iron Man

The third new Iron Man:The Animated Series pin features Iron Man in his hulk-buster armor.

This suit is bulkier, yet more powerful, than his normal armor, and is usually reserved for the biggest villains.

War Machine Pin

Moving on from Tony Stark, we have War Machine.

James Rhodes only appeared in the first few episodes of Iron Man, but the character made an impact. He would later play a much larger role is the Iron Man movie franchise.

War Machine looks ready to roll in this new pin, he is posing and looking straight ahead.

A Second War Machine Pin

Last but not least, we have have War Machine in action.

Here, War Machine is lunging forward and ready for battle. With a clenched fist and a pointed blaster, I certainly wouldn’t want to face the hero in battle.

Where To Get Them

If you want to get your hands on any of these Iron Man: The Animated Series pins be sure to visit the Darkroom. The store is located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The pins are available now for $17.99.
