In case you haven’t noticed, Disney releases a LOT of movies. They have Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Avatar, and more under their umbrella, so you can imagine how many films come out of those properties!
Right now, there is a writer’s strike going on that has caused productions to pause or be delayed. And we just found out that several Disney movies are pushing their release dates.
Pushed Release Dates
According to Deadline, the untitled third Deadpool movie will now be released on May 3rd, 2024 (it was previously slated for November 8th, 2024), while Captain America: Brave New World was just moved from that date to August 26th, 2024.
Blade moved from September 6th, 2024 to February 14th, 2025. Fantastic Four was moved from February 14th, 2025 to May 2nd, 2025.
Avengers: Kang Dynasty was moved from May 2nd, 2025 to May 1st, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars was moved from May 1st, 2026 to May 7th, 2027.
The Star Wars movies are moving as well. The first one is moving from December 2025 to May 2026 and another one has been added to December 18th, 2026.
The live-action Moana is actually moving UP by a week — it goes from July 2nd, 2025 to June 27th, 2025.
Disney also has reserved some dates for upcoming unknown films:
- Sept 6th, 2024
- March 21st, 2025 (previously April 11th, 2025)
- An untitled Marvel movie on July 25th, 2025
- August 8th, 2025 (previously of August 15th, 2025)
- An untitled Marvel movie on November 7th, 2025
Also note that an untitled Disney movie for May 22nd, 2026 has been taken off of the schedule.
