Episode 2 of Reboot has aired and like the previous episode, this one will not disappoint the viewers at all. The dynamics between the cast members of Reboot moves to a new level. Humor soars to the skies and the plot twists will surprise with their diversity.
This episode, entitled ‘New Girl’, definitely intrigues us with its title. And prepares the audience for the appearance of a new cast member in the Reboot. What have the creators of the show cooked up for us this time? Let’s take a look.
WILL HANNAH RETURN TO REBOOT?
The last episode ended on a pretty high note. Without a doubt, the cast still hasn’t recovered from this news. But nevertheless, they convince Hannah to return to the show. And promise to be on her side, no matter what. Eventually, the actors return to the set with Hannah and wait for Gordon in his office.
And here we must pay tribute to the actors who embody these roles on the screen. Rachel Bloom and Paul Reiser are just a phenomenal duo, who repeatedly give out a grand extravaganza of emotions and feelings that their characters experience throughout the show.
Anyway, they all come to a joint decision that Hannah’s script is very good. But, they are only ready to work with Gordon with a new storyline. They are quietly and peacefully resolving this issue. I’m kidding…
They continue to discuss everything with raised voices. Without agreeing on anything, Gordon decides that they will see how everything goes at the script reading on Monday. But is it that simple? Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell.
THE NEW GIRL OF REBOOT: WHO IS SHE?
Finally, Day X comes. Gordon introduces a new cast member to the team. But who is it? This actress will play Lawrence’s prodigal daughter — Timberly Fox (Alyah Chanelle Scott). It looks like Gordon has given the green light to the new script after all or not…
But this is not the type of actress that everyone expected to see. Definitely not a beauty and a giggler, from some weird show called Fuck Buddy Mountain (OMG! What’s happening?!). During the script reading she gets used to the role (so it seems) but is just TERRIBLE! It’s just a complete disaster.
But it seems that everyone is happy with Timberly, including the management of Hulu, represented by Elaine. And again, applause for the actress, who played Timberly so nicely and inimitably. It is simply impossible not to laugh at this situation and cry at the same time (of course, from laughter). Such situations definitely happen on the sets of TV series. After all, it all looks so realistic and vivid.
Anyway, Hannah is just furious and can’t stand the new actress Gordon has chosen. But this choice was approved by the management of Hulu, and Gordon’s hands are tied. The conflict between the two showrunners is increasing. And it’s so interesting to watch: ingeniously prescribed jokes and this spark between their characters. Just a storm of emotions!
AND HERE’S THE FUN PART…
Meanwhile, as Reed and Bree try to come to terms with the choice of a new actress in the show, Zack and Clay become a little closer to each other (not what you thought…). Clay is surprised that Zack is constantly accompanied everywhere by his mom (just awful!). But he admits that he can’t leave his mom and tell her about it. He asks Clay to help him with this little issue, and he doesn’t mind.
Clay is confident that he can do it (why not?!). But he did not expect how it would all end. Definitely, there is a little tension between them and at the same time mutual understanding. In other words, Clay and Zack’s mother get to know each other very well (you know what I mean).
Clay tells Reed about everything that happened, and he is just in shock. Of course, this needs to stop, because if Zack finds out… But he is so naive and sure that they are already best friends with Clay. And it’s so hilarious to watch.
Johnny Knoxville (Clay) just grandiosely transforms into this character. It’s a person who doesn’t care about anything, doesn’t follow the rules and, definitely, has problems with breaking the law. And Calum Worthy (Zack) brilliantly plays the role of a young man, who definitely has no problems with self-esteem. And it seems he is forever stuck in the image of a ‘little boy from the show’.
IT’S SHOWTIME!
Hannah and Gordon continue to argue about everything and can’t find common ground. They’re still discussing the final script for Friday’s show. And here they have a complete misunderstanding. Hannah wants to remove the new actress, but Gordon has a brilliant plan for this. He suggests Reed teaches Timberly acting. After all, only he can do it, because he is a genius!
Of course, Reed agrees. And here is the day of the last run… And, miraculously, she plays almost brilliantly. Of course, Bree can’t put up with this and tries to prevent this grandiose success. And she almost succeeds. But Reed guesses who arranged all this, and reminds Bree that it’s not worth it. Watching Keegan-Michael Key (Reed) and Judy Greer (Bree) acting is a special pleasure. The actors completely fit into this world. They don’t play, but live in these roles.
Friday evening comes, and the Hannah and Gordon can’t agree on the major scenes between father and daughter. But, one way or another, the show is already on the air and nothing can change. It seems that their relationship is finally collapsing. But is it so? What happens next, Hannah could not imagine in any way. Gordon publicly apologizes to Hannah for his absence from her life, but in his own special way.
He does this with the show Reboot. And this is just one of the sweetest and most unforgettable moments of the entire show. It seems that the relationship between father and daughter has finally warmed up. We’ll see in the next episode of the show.
