After playing “Fat Amy” in the Pitch Perfect franchise, Rebel Wilson is facing backlash over her new fashion line’s limited size range.
On November 3, Wilson announced a “limited edition drop” of a new fashion line with girlfriend Ramona Agruma, the L.A.-based owner of the loungewear company Lemon Ve Limon. So far, the R+R “experiment” features just one pair of sweatpants ($149) in sizes XS-XL and a hoodie ($179) in sizes XS-a combined L/XL. Considering Wilson has spoken about being treated differently by society depending on her size, fans were disappointed by R+R’s limited range, to say the least.

In a video that has been viewed over 96 thousand times, TikTok user Destiny Ann questioned the logic behind Wilson’s latest venture. “I don’t understand how someone who was plus size for the majority of her career, the majority of her life — someone who knows how hard it is to be fat, to shop for clothing and actually find it in your size — I don’t understand how someone with that background, that knowledge, can release a brand that only goes up to an XL,” she said.

There was even further discussion over on the actor’s Instagram feed, where one user commented, “Imagine once being a plus size gal then bringing out a clothing range that isn’t size inclusive.” Comments on that particular post have since been limited. Another wrote, “Really disappointed in this, only up to l/XL? As a former plus-size person, you should know better.”
