After months of working on these Taylor Swift Singles posts, we’re finally to the end for 2023 it seems. Swift has announced her upcoming release is going to be a re-recording of 1989 which we’ve already covered so now it’s time for Midnights.

Despite Swift already announcing the date for 1989 (Taylor’s Version,) you never know if she’s going to drop something else. I won’t hold my breath on her not releasing anything new but for now, it looks like Midnights is her latest until her re-recordings are done.

Midnights is Taylor Swift’s 10th studio album and it was released on October 21st, 2022. The album had its original version and its 3 am edition which featured some amazing bonus tracks along with various other iterations. All in all, it was an unexpected release from Swift but a lot of fun nonetheless.

As far as singles go, Midnights had 3 singles which were “Anti-Hero,” “Lavender Haze” and “Karma.” Midnights is an album that took a while to grow on some fans but it caters to all types of fans similar to Evermore and Folklore so let’s get into my rankings for Midnights.

The third-place spot has to go to “Lavender Haze.”

Of all the singles from Midnights, this one is the most surprising. Looking at the album as a whole, this one doesn’t seem like the “single” choice. Honestly, I think Taylor underestimated just how much love other songs would get. Regardless, this is the perfect one to start the album with as the first line is “Meet me at midnight,” so I can see why Taylor decided to go with this one.

Throughout the case of doing this list, I always feel like there’s one single that doesn’t fit as well as the others. Honestly, I think “Bejeweled” or “Midnight Rain” would have been just as good if not better but with how short the Midnights era was, we can’t be too picky.
