Ralphie Returns in A Christmas Story Christmas and 5 Other Trailers You Missed

Today’s trailer roundup includes HBO Max’s A Christmas Story Christmas and His Dark Materials: Season 3, Disney+’s Disenchanted, Peacock’s Irreverent, Netflix’s The Swimmers and Prime Video’s Three Pines.

Ralphie is all grown up and must deal with Christmas and all that comes with it as a dad in A Christmas Story Christmas on HBO Max on Nov. 17. Peter Billingsley returns to the role that made kids of all ages anticipate Christmas morning like no other. The cast includes Erinn Hayes as Ralphie’s wife, Sandy; Julianna Layne as their daughter, Julie; River Drosche as son Mark; Scott Schwartz returning as Flick; RD Robb returning as Schwartz; Ian Petrella reprising his role as Ralphie’s brother, Randy; Davis Murphy as Delbert Bumpus; Zack Ward returning as Scut Farkus; and Julie Hagerty as Ralphie’s mom, Mrs. Parker.

His Dark Materials: Season 3 premieres on HBO Max on Dec. 5. Based on The Amber Spyglass, the final novel in Philip Pullman’s award-winning trilogy, the final chapter of this epic fantasy series shows Lyra (Dafne Keen), the prophesied child, and Will (Amir Wilson), the bearer of The Subtle Knife, journeying to a dark place from which no one has ever returned.

Disenchanted comes to Disney+ on Nov. 18. It has been more than ten years since Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) wed, but Giselle has grown disillusioned with life in the city, so they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairy tale life. Unfortunately, it isn’t the quick fix she had hoped for.

Irreverent streams on Peacock on Nov. 30. A criminal mediator from Chicago is forced to flee his life and everything he knows and hide out in a small Australian reef community in Far North Queensland posing as the new church Reverend. The cast includes Colin Donnell, PJ Byrne, Kylie Bracknell, Briallen Clarke, Tegan Stimson, Ed Oxenbould, Wayne Blair, Russell Dykstra, Calen Tassone and Jason Wilder.

The Swimmers streams on Netflix on Nov. 23. From war-torn Syria to the 2016 Rio Olympics, two young sisters embark on a risky voyage, putting their hearts and their swimming skills to heroic use. The film stars Manal Issa, Nathalie Issa, Matthias Schweighöfer and is directed by BAFTA winner Sally El Hosaini.

Three Pines debuts on Prime Video on Dec. 2. Chief Inspector Armand Gamache and his team investigate a series of perplexing murders in the mysterious Eastern Townships village of Three Pines, uncovering the buried secrets of its eccentric residents and forcing Gamache to confront buried secrets of his own. The series stars Alfred Molina, Rossif Sutherland and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers.
