Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s first DLC, The Teal Mask, has arrived, bringing a bunch of new and returning Pokemon in its new area. One of the new Pokemon is Dipplin, a caramel apple version of the dragon-grass type Pokemon, Applin. Like Applin’s other evolutions, you need a special item to evolve them. Here’s everything you need to know about evolving Applin into Dipplin in The Teal Mask.
Where to catch Applin
Applin can be found in two areas in The Teal Mask’s region of Kitakami, both of which are apple orchards. The larger area is the orchard to the west of Mossui Town, where Applin can be found in larger numbers, including one with a Bug Tera type that is a static spawn. This area is also where you can find Sweet Apples and Tart Apples, which are used to evolve Applin into their other forms Flapple and Appletun. The other smaller orchard is located in the southeast corner of the map and where you can find the needed evolution item.
How to evolve Applin into Dipplin
At the smaller orchard in the southeast corner of the map, there is a vendor stand which sells Syrupy Apples for 500 bucks each. Purchase one of these and then give it to Applin to evolve them into Dipplin. You can purchase an unlimited amount of this item, but you have to purchase them one at a time.
