Neighbors fans, rejoice! Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen are sharing the screen once again, and they’re just as hilarious and charming together as you remember. Apple TV+’s new half-hour comedy, Platonic — co-created, directed, and co-written by Neighbors director Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco — is a modern-day revisiting of When Harry Met Sally‘s core question: “Can men and women remain strictly platonic friends?” The series follows estranged besties Sylvia (Byrne) and Will (Rogen) as they mend their relationship after a five-year rift and quickly fall back into their wild, co-dependent, unintentionally destructive ways. The actors’ off-the-charts chemistry makes it impossible not to wonder if their characters will cross the friendship line. And though running bits, physical comedy, and absurd shenanigans will make you cackle, Platonic strikes a nice balance between lighthearted and serious storylines. Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Carla Gallo, and Andrew Lopez also star in this fun, fresh take on beloved classic.
