In his highly acclaimed career, Peter Sarsgaard has delivered a variety of winning performances in movies like An Education, Jarhead, Kinsey, Shattered Glass, The Magnificent Seven, Blue Jasmine The Lost Daughter, Black Mass, Garden State, The Batman, not to mention his Emmy-nominated turn in Dopesick, and small screen projects like The Killing, and The Loooming Tower just to name a few. Now his latest film, Memory is bringing him more acclaim including the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival where the film debuted in September.
In Memory, in which he stars opposite Jessica Chastain, he plays Saul, a gentle man dealing with the onset of dementia and a relationship with an old classmate he follows home from a reunion. It is an understated and highly moving performance which ranks as yet another outstanding moment in his acting career and is winning lots of awards buzz.
