Stephen King delivers another winner with Pet Sematary, his creepy 1989 horror film based on his novel of the same name. When Dr. Louis Creed (Dale Midkiff) and his family move to a new town, they are immediately greeted by their strange neighbor, Jud Crandall (Fred Gwynne), who shows them the spooky “sematary” behind their home. Louis returns to the burial ground with Jud after the death of his daughter’s cat, Church, and is shocked and horrified when the pet comes back to life. Everything soon gets even spookier, with ghosts, gore and all the Halloween scares you could ask for.
