Maggie Sajak is making Wheel of Fortune history, and her father, Pat Sajak, couldn’t be more proud. The 28-year-old shared on May 7 that she will be taking the Wheel of Fortune stage as a fill-in for Vanna White. The momentous occasion will kick off on Wednesday, May 10, as Vanna White, Mayim Bialik, and Ken Jennings compete to win Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.
Thankfully, Maggie isn’t unfamiliar with the game show stage. In 2020, Vanna White took on the role of host as a fill-in for Pat’s weeklong absence, and Maggie stepped in for White. The switch-up was a fun change of pace and opened the door for Maggie to take on the role of social media correspondent for Wheel of Fortune as of 2021.

When she isn’t standing in for White, Maggie Sajak is a country singer with a voice like honey. Her music career was put on the back burner while she finished up her degree at Princeton University. White has worked with Pat Sajak for 40 years (icons only) and has seen Maggie grow up, so passing the torch to her was an easy move, she says. “Thank you so much for filling in for me, I know you’re going to do a great job,” she told Maggie in the preview for the show, which will air Wednesday. Pat added deadpan, “They truly can’t stand each other.”
