For those unfamiliar, Nick Fury is portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The timing couldn’t be better for this character announcement as today is the premiere of the Secret Invasion on Disney+ where Fury takes center stage! As the premise for the new Marvel series goes, Nick Fury learns of a secret invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. In the series, Fury links up with his Marvel allies to stop a Skrull invasion and save Earth.

In Secret Invasion, Nick Fury is joined by Talos, Maria Hill, and Ross Everett. The series will also feature Game of Thrones’ very own Emilia Clarke who plays the role of G’iah-Talos’ daughter. She wants revenge as Fury failed to secure a new home for her people.
