The first trailer for the upcoming Disney + series Secret Invasion finally dropped last week, and it is a doozy.
The six-episode series has been called a “crossover event” by Marvel President Kevin Feige, and will tie in heavily to future MCU films, particularly the The Marvels.

Secret invasion will pick up an underlying story line from Captain Marvel. That film ended with the revelation that Skrulls had infiltrated Earth and were masquerading as humans.
When a rebel Skrull faction is discovered to harbor plans to launch a full scale infiltration of Earth, Nick Fury joins allies Everett Ross, Maria Hill and Talos (a Skrull) to thwart the invasion.

“One Last Fight”
The trailer for the upcoming series begins with Fury returning to Earth after a long absence.
“Since you’ve been gone, things have gotten much worse,” Talos warns him on his arrival.

“Why do you think I came back?” Fury retorts.
In what seems like a very personal battle for Nick Fury, the master spy is hellbent on fighting the upcoming invasion alone.

Amidst scenes of public violence, shapeshifting Skrulls, and battered allies, Nick Fury remains resolute.
Even when James Rhodes warns Nick Fury that he is the most wanted man on the planet, Fury is not deterred.

The Next Marvel Series
In addition to returning stars Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, and Ben Medelsohn, the series will also introduce Emilia Clarke as Talos’ daughter Abigail Brand.
