The CW showed off new trailers for its upcoming series including for newcomer Gotham Knights, its newest DC series from Berlanti Productions and WBTV. The show just landed a March 14 premiere date when it will bow after the Season 3 premiere of Superman & Lois.
Superman & Lois, starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, also got a trailer. A promo for both showed during the CW’s coverage Sunday of the Critics Choice Awards. A third trailer, for the second half of Season 2 of All American: Homecoming which returns January 23, also dropped.
Originally picked up to series last May, Gotham Knights picks up in the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder, with his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) forging an alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies — Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), Harper Row (Fallon Smythe) and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara) — when they are framed for killing the Caped Crusader. The fugitives eventually become Gotham City’s next generation of saviors. Mischa Collins plays DA Harvey Dent, who is investigating who really killed Batman.
Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux wrote the series with Natalie Abrams and executive produce with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, David Madden and director Danny Cannon.
Superman & Lois, meanwhile, imagines Superman and journalist Lois dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. The third season opens after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston, when Lois’ undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever.
Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Berlanti and Todd Helbing executive produce with Schechter, Geoff Johns and Madden.
The current season of All American: Homecoming debuted in October and last aired November 28. Marqui Jackson and series creator/executive producer Nkechi Okoro Carroll showrun the spinoff about the lives of students and athletes at an HBCU, and the struggles they face while trying to find their footing. Geffri Maya, Peyton Alex Smith, Kelly Jenrette and Cory Hardrict star in the drama, from Warner Bros Television and CBS Studios in association with Berlanti Productions, with executive producers Okoro Carroll, Jackson, Berlanti, Schechter and Robbie Rogers.
