Michelle Yeoh and Justin Chien step out as mother and son in the first trailer for Netflix’s The Brothers Sun above. The series premieres on January 4.
From Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu, the series follows the legendary killer Charles “Chairleg” Sun (Chien), who heads to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Yeoh) and younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li) following the murder of his father, the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad. Bruce has been completely sheltered from the truth of his family until his infamous and respected sibling shows up on his doorstep throwing him into a world that he is vastly unprepared for.
But as Taipei’s deadliest societies and a new rising faction go head-to-head for dominance — Charles, Bruce and their mother must heal the wounds caused by their separation and figure out what brotherhood and family truly mean before one of their countless enemies kills them all.

The dark comedic drama and family soap is directed and exec produced by Kevin Tancharoen and exec produced by Mikkel Bondesen alongside showrunner Falchuk and writer Wu.
