Netflix Unveils Official Trailer, Launch Date – Deadline

The long-awaited sixth season of Black Mirror has set official trailer, launch date of June 15 and released detailed episode info.

Charlie Brooker’s latest anthology series will launch in just a fortnight, featuring five stories and a stellar cast including Aaron Paul, Michael Cera, Salma Hayek Pinault, Myha’la Herrold and Kate Mara. A teaser came out several weeks ago, at which point the show, which had been rumored for months, was confirmed.

Season 6 episodes include Joan is Awful about an average woman stunned to discover a global streaming platform has launched a prestige TV drama adaptation of her life – in which she is played by Hayek Pinault, and Loch Henry, which follows a couple who travel to a sleepy Scottish town to shoot a doc but find themselves drawn to a local story involving shocking events of the past. The final ep, Demon 79, takes in a meek sales assistant who is told she must commit terrible acts to prevent disaster. The full list is below.

Brooker is writing all the episodes and the final episode, Demon 79, is co-written with Ms. Marvel creator Bisha K. Ali. Brooker and Annabel Jones’ Broke & Bones is producing.

Speaking to Tudum.com recently, Brooker said he had started writing Season 6 by “upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect.”

The season is the first in four years. Dropping in 2019, Black Mirror Season 5 featured the likes of Miley Cyrus, Andrew Scott and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
