Like any other set of best friends, Emilija Baranac (Riverdale), and Jennifer Tong (DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow) do almost everything together; even cooking up their own fake ID Empire, accidentally.
The 10-episode crime series follows childhood best friends, Zoe and Becca, as they splurge their newly found riches the best way high schoolers know-how, which lands them in hot water with the Feds. Their rocky ride doesn’t end there, Zoe and Becca’s friendship gets tested and they’re forced to fight for their survival when their get-rich-quick scheme crumbles, leaving some of their associates unhappy with the downfall.

The two leading ladies share the screen with Richard Harmon (The 100). The Teen TV show is created by David Turko (Warrior Nun). Turko wrote the YA series with Tabia Lau and produced it with Simon Barry (Warrior Nun), and Stephen Hegyes (A Dungeon Siege Tale). Lilly Burns and Tony Hernandez also play a part as executive directors.
Fakes is set to be released on the 2nd of September 2022, on Netflix.
