Netflix Releases First Images of The Upcoming Horror Series ‘The Midnight Club’

It’s back to 1994 in this teen horror series based on a novel of the same name by the bestselling author, Christopher Pike.

Netflix decided to treat fans with a few images of the upcoming series following the spine-chilling trailer showcased in June 2022.

The mystery thriller follows eight terminally ill teens of the midnight club who meet in the nighttime to share sinister stories and seek out signs of any supernatural happenings at the hospice they live in. A pact was made by the members stating that whoever among them was to pass on first had the duty of reaching out to the living to prove the existence of the afterlife.

The cast for the YA series is composed of: Iman Benson (BlackAF); Igby Rigney; Ruth Codd; Aya Furukawa; Annarah Cymone; William Chris Sumpter, Sauriyan Sapkota; and Heather Langenkamp (Glitch) who plays the enigmatic doctor that runs the hospice.

In addition to the main cast, Matt Biedel, Zach Gilford (Midnight Mass), Samantha Sloyan (Midnight Mass), and William B. Davis (The X-Files) have recurring roles in the adaptation of Christopher Pike’s novel.

The ten-episode series, each part airing for an hour, is created by Mike Flanagan, and Leah Fong who serve as part of the executive producers alongside Trevor Macy, Julia Bicknell, and the novelist himself, Christopher Pike.

This is the fourth series Flanagan and Macy have done together at Netflix under their Intrepid Pictures overall deal.

Besides The Midnight Club, other iconic works of Pike set to feature in the series are Witch, Gimme A Kiss, Road To Nowhere, and The Wicked Heart. Other titles will be revealed soon.

The Midnight Club is set to air on Netflix on October 7, 2022.
