I’ll be the first one to admit that I slept on Prime Video’s My Lady Jane precisely because it was advertised as a girlboss rewrite of Tudor history. What Amazon should have led with, instead, is that it’s actually a romantasy series where Lady Jane Grey (Emily Bader) is married to a hot guy (Edward Bluemel) cursed to spend his days as a horse. However what makes this steamy fantasy show all the more addicting is its stellar all-star cast of British greats. Rob Bryden, Anna Chancellor, Dominic Cooper, and Hugh Bonneville, are all having a blast in this show, but no one is more deliciously insane than Kate O’Flynn as a disgusting, horny, maniacal, homicidal Bloody Mary. Before she was dazzling us in Widow’s Bay, she was spanking Dominic Cooper for giggles. My Lady Jane is a sexy, sudsy, and often silly delight.
