“I would rewrite the film to end basically right after his dad dies.”
Context: Shang-Chi’s father, Wenwu, was the main antagonist of the movie. In the last quarter of the movie, Shang-Chi overpowers Wenwu during their battle, and Wenwu, realising the chaos he had caused in his crusade, gives up his immortality and power by transferring his ten rings to Shang-Chi.
Wenwu is then killed by the dark monster he released during his conquest, but Shang-Chi defeats this monster as well. The movie doesn’t end there, but ends with Shang-Chi and his best friend, Katy, returning to their hometown bar and getting scouted by a few heroes from other MCU movies.
