NetherRealm Studios has rolled out a day one patch for Mortal Kombat 1.
The update includes various bug fixes for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch versions of the game.
It also adds more finishing moves and accessibility options on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, among other features. We’ve republished the full patch notes.
While the game isn’t on general sale until September 19, early access is now available for players who pre-ordered Mortal Kombat 1’s Premium Edition or Kollector’s Edition.
These two editions also include a Kombat Pack offering a Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage at launch, and early access to six new playable characters post-release.
“Mortal Kombat 1 is the best Mortal Kombat game to date,” according to VGC’s review, which awarded it 5/5 stars.
“It looks stunning, has a brilliant Story mode, its new Invasions mode will keep solo players busy and, above all else, it’s an absolute joy to play. Thoroughly essential for die-hards, lapsed fans and newkomers.”
