Mixed Emotions Roll In From Fans After “Teen Wolf: The Movie”

To say most “Teen Wolf ” fans are disappointed with the movie, is an understatement. It seems as though the highly anticipated film, although entertaining, has upset a lot of fans because of its plot. There were two main aspects of the movie in particular that have fans enraged at the show’s creator and movie’s executive producer, Jeff Davis. Here’s how fans have reacted to “Teen Wolf: The Movie”.

For some fans, it’s the entire plot of the film they seem to take issue with.

Well when you put it like that….

You cant help but agree with the fact that this movie basically swaps out one main character for another.

Before its release, there was a leak that the show’s favorite couple Stiles and Lydia had broken up, and this had fans of the original series in a panicked state. Now, after having watched the film things are much worse. In the movie it is revealed that Lydia has left Stiles in order to protect him from a vision she had of his death. After years of character and relationship development on “Teen Wolf” and finally seeing the two get together in season 6, this was one of the biggest let downs in the movie.

Neither do I.

No, they really did not.

It was already clear who was not going to be in the “Teen Wolf” movie, and sadly that includes fan favorite Stiles Stilinski played by Dylan O’Brien and Kira Yukimura played by Arden Cho. We also didnt get to see Isaac played by Daniel Sharman and Braedan played by Meagan Tandy.

They definitely were missed.

Some fans were half expecting Dylan O’Brien to show up right at the very end, but although there were cameos in this movie, O’Brien was not one of them.

The most painful part of the “Teen Wolf” movie that understandably fans are irate and heartbroken about, is the fact that beloved character Derek Hale played by Tyler Hoechlin was killed off at the end of the movie, as Davis wanted to add a big death scene to the movie.

In season 1 we find out that the Hale family had burned in a house fire set by Kate Argent, so to have things come full circle with Derek going up in flames as well was a pretty bold move.

There are some pretty mixed emotions about the movie, some fans seem to have enjoyed it, while others are more happy about certain parts in particular, and others of course are heartbroken and angry which is a bad combination.

This was something that almost everyone couldn’t help but feel happy to see. When Allison died in season 3, we never imagined we would get a moment like this, but here we are, Scott and Allison planning a future together after 15 years.

When Allison was killed in season 3, Lydia couldn’t make it to her best friend on time, and she had to hear her die, this time she got to save her, which makes this moment so satisfying.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that everyone fell in love with Eli Hale, Derek’s son in the “Teen Wolf” movie.

Thanks to the emotional distress this movie has inflicted, some fans are choosing to wipe clean the events of the “Teen Wolf movie” and pretend as though things ended with season 6.

That was a great ending though.

The official synopsis for the movie reads A terrifying new evil has emerged in Beacon Hills calling for the return of Alpha Werewolf Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), to once again reunite the Banshees, Were-coyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and other shapeshifters of the night. With new allies and trusted friends like Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin), Lydia Martin (Holland Roden), Jackson Whittemore (Colton Haynes), Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig), and the return of a long lost love, Allison Argent (Crystal Reed), Scott and his pack just might stand a chance.”
