Minx Season 2 miraculously premiered on Starz over the weekend, less than a year after it was ignobly canceled and cut from original home Max. The series, created by Ellen Rapoport and executive produced by Paul Feig, follows the ups and downs of the first erotic magazine designed for women in the 1970s. Jake Johnson — at his most irascibly charming — stars as Doug Renetti, a shameless publisher of pornographic mags who convinces uptight feminist Joyce Prigger (Ophelia Lovibond) to help him launch the titular magazine. Season 2 finds the power balance between the two shifting as Joyce has far more control of the magazine, as befitting the editor of a staunchly feminist publication. Minx is a randy delight that is equal parts naughty and nice.
