Method Man is no stranger to the world of Marvel. The award-winning rapper and member of the Wu-Tang Clan is best known for his music career, but that hasn’t stopped him from carving out a niche in the comic book world.
In February 2021, Method Man began hosting Marvel/Method, a podcast series for Marvel Entertainment and Sirus XM. On the show, Meth interviewed celebrity guests and discussed Marvel comics, films, and more.

Perhaps even more impressively, Method Man owns over 30,000 Marvel comics including the legendary The Incredible Hulk $181 that featured the first real appearance of Wolverine.
Eyes Set On The MCU
In a recent interview, Method Man revealed that he would love to take his fandom to the next level and make the jump into the Marvel Cinematic Univers (MCU). Specifically, he has his eyes set on playing an iconic X-Man.
“Those guys at the MCU, they know their stuff. I haven’t had any problems with any of their casting choices so far,” the Wu-Tang emcee said before revealing the character he would want to play- the time traveler Bishop.

“So whoever gets the job… I think Omar Sy did an excellent job as Bishop [in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past], but that was before the MCU. If they chose him again, I think he’d kill it. There’s a few people out there. But if they’re willing to give me a shot, I’d go for it. Plus, I’ve done all the research already.”
This is not the first time that Method Man has referenced Bishop. Back in 2020, the rapper posted himself cosplaying Bishop on his Instagram.

With a long list of acting roles on his resume and clear love for the source material, it seems to me that Marvel could do much worse than casting Method Man and Bishop. There is a sentence I never thought I would write.
