There’s no such thing as TMI when it comes to Meghan Trainor sharing the most intimate details of her marriage to Daryl Sabara.
The twosome first crossed paths in 2014 — but didn’t start dating until two years later.
Even from the beginning of their romance, the “All About That Bass” singer knew what she had with the Spy Kids star was special.
“I never really felt sexy with guys before. No one expressed how they liked my body out loud in the bedroom until I met Daryl,” she told Cosmopolitan in May 2017. “He is obsessed with it — every inch. And that has improved my confidence more than even ‘Bass’ did. He’s a champion, so we’re in heaven.”
However, it all started with a simple kiss — one that was surprisingly good.
“He kissed me at the bowling alley,” Trainor recalled to the magazine of her first date with the Halloween actor. “I told my security to step outside ’cause I didn’t want to be watched. He was the best kisser ever. I know I’m really good at kissing, but I was shocked when he was.”
Since then, the “Lips Are Movin’” artist and Sabara have gone full-speed ahead, getting engaged in December 2017 and tying the knot one year later. In 2020, the couple announced they were expecting their firstborn.
While the pair were thrilled about Trainor’s pregnancy, the “Made You Look” singer revealed that she had qualms about having sex while pregnant. “Mentally I can’t have sex while our son is in between us,” she told the Today show at the time. Though “all [her] pregnancy apps say it feels really good,” Trainor couldn’t bring herself to get intimate at the time.
“All I can think about is that there’s a little boy in my belly,” she added.
The duo welcomed son Riley in February 2021 — and couldn’t wait to give him a sibling.
“If I could’ve got pregnant months ago, I would’ve,” Trainor exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2022. “We’re just busy and I don’t want to be, like, nauseous while doing all this fun stuff.” Several months later, in December 2022, she and Sabara announced they were expecting their second child — another baby boy.
This time around, the couple will once again be avoiding penetrative intercourse. (In April 2023, Trainor revealed she had been diagnosed with vaginismus, making for “painful” sex that she referred to as a “nightmare” on the “Workin’ on It” podcast.)
“I can have a fine time with other stuff,” Trainor explained the following month on Emily Ratajkowski’s “High Low with EmRata” podcast. “I’m very satisfied. My hubby, I take care of him. He’s fine. He’s satisfied. We’re great, but it’s tough.”
