While we still do not a have an official release day for the second season of Marvel’s What If…?, Marvel has given us a first look at one episode of the upcoming season.
The upcoming episode will feature a new hero, a young Mohawk woman named Kahhori.

The Power of the Tesseract
In this alternate universe, the Tesseract falls to Earth and lands in the sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy before the colonization of America. The official description reads:
“The Actress takes on a new life and a new mythology, transforming a lake into a gateway to the stars and leading Kahhori, a young Mohawk woman, on a quest to discover her power.”

An Original Character
Unlike many of the characters featured in the MCO, Kahhori is an original character. In fact, the young woman will be the MCU’s first totally original character.
The name Kahhori translates to “she stirs the forest”.

According to Marvel, the new episode was written by Ryan Little, who closely collaborated with members of the Mohawk Nation- including Mohawk language expert Cecelia King and historian Doug George.
While we do not yet know the full cast of Marvel What If…? Season 2, the previous season featured a slew of Marvel stars.
