Random House and Marvel Entertainment are teaming up for a new adult novel series based on Marvel’s What If…? franchise.
The originally licensed series will reimagine the origins of iconic Marvel heroes and show what can happen if the fabric of reality is altered.

Each story will be set in its own distinct universes in the Multiverse, and will also feature a unique twist on an iconic Marvel origin story.
The series will launch in 2024 with three titles. The first book in the series will be “What If… Loki was Worthy? A Loki and Valkyrie Story” by Madeleine Roux, which will be published on March 12, 2024.

This will be followed with “What If… Wanda Maximoff and Peter Parker Were Siblings? A Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man Story” by Seanan McGuire. Finally, “What If… Marc Spector Was A Host To Venom? A Moon Knight and Venom Story,” which will publish in October 2024.
What If…Loki Was Worthy?
“What If… Loki Was Worthy?” will see Loki and Valkyrie seeking redemption in the first installment of the series.

In the book, Asgard looks to Loki for salvation, after Iron Man vows to destroy those who consider themselves gods.
The volume will see Loki, whose practical joke led to the death of Thor, answer the question: Am I truly worthy?
