Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg’s friendship has always been legendary, but now it’s eternal.
On February 10, the 81-year-old thirst trap queen unveiled a new upper-arm tattoo dedicated to her bestie, featuring the rapper’s face and the words My Dogg in fancy calligraphy. “Thanks for the amazing tattoo @scottcampbell,” Stewart captioned the image, which was shared with her 1.8 million Instagram followers. “Forever linked in ink to my favorite @snoopdogg.”
While the tattoo may very well be fake—many of Stewart’s followers are predicting it’s a bit for a Super Bowl commercial—I have one question: Who cares? No one does a viral moment quite like Miss Martha Stewart.
Stewart and the 51-year-old rapper met when he appeared on The Martha Stewart Show in 2008. By 2014 they had developed a relationship based on online banter until the TV personality said she wished they were “closer friends” during a Reddit As Me Anything. The rest is television history.
Stewart wrote about their “special bond” in the foreword of Snoop’s 2018 cookbook, From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes From tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen. “Our relationship was born from our connection to food as we whipped up some cognac mashed potatoes and green brownies. Working with Snoop in the kitchen has been a remarkable experience for me,” she wrote. “Not only has he taught me new lingo and cultural references, he surprised me with his unique cooking techniques and recipes.”
In 2016, Snoop Dogg told Rolling Stone, “I’ve never met anyone like Martha Stewart. When we come together, it’s a natural combination of love, peace, and harmony.”
Real tattoo or not, we can’t wait for Snoop Dogg’s response.
