Mariah Carey unwraps dates for her Christmas Revue

Pop superstar Mariah Carey is delivering Christmas goodies again; this year, it is the gift of two live, in-concert shows.  They are sure to be filled with the holiday spirit and whimsy.

In a Twitter post, Carey announced the dates of her Christmas Revue, with the title “Merry Christmas To You.”  In the post, the multi-Grammy winner shares her excitement about “being back on stage and getting festive with everyone.”

Presented by LiveNation, the Revue begins its celebration on December 11th, 2022, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.  Then it is off to Times Square in New York at Madison Square Garden on December 13th.  Mariah will perform a package of her Christmas classics, including her 1994 chart-topper, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”  The song only increased in popularity since its release nearly thirty years ago, with the continuation hitting number one on the Billboard Charts in the last three years.

Tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster through LiveNation.com beginning Friday, October 28th, and fans will have the choice of whether to purchase a limited-edition t-shirt and a hard copy of her illustrated children’s book, “The Christmas Princess,”  scheduled to launch in bookstores and online November 1st.

Mariah’s other holiday projects include concerts for Apple TV,  an animated special, cookies, and holiday cakes with various flavors, which was an exclusive for the Milk Bar bakery in New York.

Mariah got inducted into the Song Writers Hall of Fame for her songwriting talents in June 2021, along with fellow inductees The Isley Brothers, The Neptunes, and a few others.

As for claiming to be the “Queen of Christmas,” as fans associate the title with Mariah, she dismisses it.  Although she loves and enjoys the holiday season, she feels like the real Queen of Christmas is one who is definitely worth the status.

“I’m someone that loves Christmas, that happened to be blessed to write ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You.’  And a lot of other Christmas songs. And let’s face it, everybody’s faith is what it is.  But to me, the Virgin Mary is the Queen of Christmas.”
