Today’s trailer roundup includes Love is Blind Season 3 and Slumberland, Prime Video’s Run Sweetheart Run, Disney+’s Limitless with Chris Hemsworth and Apple TV+’s Causeway.
Love is Blind Season 3 premieres on Netflix October 19 with four new episodes and weekly episodes on Wednesdays. Singles who want to be loved for who they are have signed up for a less conventional approach to modern dating in Dallas, and will choose someone to marry without ever meeting them. Over several weeks, the newly engaged couples will move in together, plan their wedding and find out if their physical connection matches their strong emotional bond developed in the Pods. When their wedding day arrives, will real-world realities and external factors push them apart, or will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with?
Jason Momoa stars in Slumberland, coming to Netflix November 18. After her father Peter (Kyle Chandler) is unexpectedly lost at sea, young Nemo’s (Marlow Barkley) idyllic Pacific Northwest existence is completely upended when she is sent to live in the city with her well-meaning but deeply awkward uncle Phillip (Chris O’Dowd). Her new school and new routine are challenging by day but at night, a secret map to the fantastical world of Slumberland connects Nemo to Flip (Momoa), a rough-around-the-edges but lovable outlaw who quickly becomes her partner and guide.
Run Sweetheart Run streams on Prime Video October 28. Single mom Cherie (Ella Balinska) is relieved and excited when she meets charismatic Ethan (Pilou Asbæk). The influential businessman defies expectations and sweeps Cherie off her feet. But at the end of the night, when the two are alone together, he reveals his true, violent nature. Battered and terrified, she flees for her life, beginning a relentless game of cat-and-mouse with a bloodthirsty assailant hell-bent on her utter destruction.
Limitless with Chris Hemworth comes to Disney+ November 16. Part global scientific adventure, part personal journey, each episode of the series follows Chris as he takes up a gauntlet of physical and mental feats designed by world-class experts, scientists and doctors to unlock different aspects of the aging process. Each meticulously crafted challenge is rooted in game-changing science, drawing on new research and long-held traditions. Chris’ mission is to understand the limits of the human body better and discover ways we can all extend health and happiness into old age.
Jennifer Lawrence and Brian Tyree Henry star in Causeway on Apple TV+ November 4. Lawrence plays Lynsey, a military engineer who has returned to the States from Afghanistan with a debilitating brain injury after an IED explosion. It’s a painful and slow recovery as she relearns to walk and re-trains her memory, aided by a chatty but tender caretaker (Jayne Houdyshell). But when she returns home to New Orleans she has to face memories even more aching and formative than those she had in service: a reckoning with her childhood.
