Metro Boomin and Future have replaced Lil Uzi Vert on the Rolling Loud California lineup.
This comes just hours after Uzi — a singer and rapper who uses they/them pronouns — publicly denied ever having signed off on the gig. They took to Instagram on Nov. 14, the same day the festival announced Nicki Minaj and Post Malone as headliners, and claimed “I never said I was doing rolling loud. Don’t understand why my name is on here.”
The festival is set to take place at the Hollywood Park Grounds in Inglewood, California on March 15 – 17 and also features Summer Walker, Sexyy Red, Don Toliver, and for the first time, música Mexicana artists like Fuerza Regida, Natanael Cano and others.
Variety has reached out to representatives for Lil Uzi Vert for further comment.
Lil Uzi Vert is currently on their “Pink Tape” tour in support of their latest, 26-track album album “Pink Tape.” This is Uzi’s first headlining jaunt since 2018’s “Endless Summer Tour.” They will close the tour with a special hometown performance in Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center on Nov. 22.
Founded by Matt Ziegler and Tariq Cherif, Rolling Loud has become one of the premier hip-hop music festivals since launching in 2015 at Miami’s Soho Studios. In the time since, it’s hosted artists including Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne, and expanded to international markets in Australia, Toronto, Portugal, Thailand and Germany.
