Hi Raindancers, I’m Sibyl, one of the academic administrators here at Raindance Film School. As a non-binary writer and musician, I look for the lyric, the rhythm, and the flow when sitting down to watch a movie. I don’t just want to see a picture; I want to become immersed in the world and feel it in my chest.
LGBTQIA+ films are already close to my heart, and the 31st Raindance Festival has, as always, a fantastic selection on the programme. This year, the LGBTQIA+ films are here to challenge expectations and highlight the intersectionality of queer experiences in our world’s cultures, shining light on queer stories from Nigeria to the US and queerness and disability.
Come out to the festival, peer through the looking glass, and see the world from a new perspective.
