Selena Gomez should really release a fashion coffee table book called Selena Gomez’s Mirror Selfies because every ‘fit is a work of art.
All summer long, Gomez has been sharing OOTD photos on her Instagram Stories, which are at least 70% responsible for my current obsession with cottage-core princess dresses and Lemon Girl Style, while simultaneously making me want to rebuild the quintessential cool girl all-black wardrobe I left behind when I moved from NYC to Los Angeles. How can all these aesthetics exist in harmony? I don’t know, ask Selena Gomez. She’s the one who has me convinced I could rock the head-to-toe baggy look that would absolutely swallow me in reality.
Luckily, I don’t have to be delulu to pull off the look Gomez shared on September 15. While standing in front of an intricate gold-framed bathroom mirror, the 31-year-old pop star paired a nude lingerie-style tube top with a simple pair of lightwash blue jeans. The sleeveless shapewear, which may actually be a bodysuit, features a stretchy mesh material with exposed boning, resulting in a snatched, yet wearable ensemble for every day. Hell, it could even be worn to work with the right blazer (and job).
Gomez finished off the look with just a simple diamond tennis necklace and the “golden glazed fire mani” she debuted at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
