Lego has revealed its next Super Mario set for adult collectors, a large Piranha Plant.

The set was teased on the official Lego Twitter account, with the message: “Waking soon… discover the newest Lego Super Mario set emerging from our pipeline…”

The model shown in the video is clearly a Piranha Plant, and the video also features the music that plays in Super Mario 64 when you walk past a sleeping Piranha Plant.

However, the item can already be found on the official Lego store website, with a November 6 release date and a $59.99 / £57.99 price point.

“Recreate the distinctive features of a Piranha Plant and pose its head, mouth, stalk and leaves,” the item’s description reads.

“Displayed in the buildable pipe, it makes a fun centerpiece for your home or office.”

The set will consist of 540 pieces, making it the smallest of Lego’s Nintendo-themed adult sets to date, and will stand at 9 inches tall.

This is the fourth Nintendo-themed Lego set aimed at adult collectors.

The Lego NES was released in 2020, followed by a Lego Super Mario 64 themed question block in 2021 and a Lego Bowser in 2022.

Lego has also released a series of Sonic the Hedgehog sets in recent months, as well as an Atari 2600 console.

It also released an official Lego version of the Tallneck from Horizon Forbidden West.
