What does one wear on the first day of forest school? If you’re Kate Middleton, the uniform is an an oversized blazer and hiking boots, which is a dress code I can get behind.
On September 14, Kate and Prince William sat in on a “forest school” session in Hereford, England, according to People, in which students have class outdoors at least once a week to learn about ecology and woodland preservation. For the woodsy outing, Kate’s look was outdoorsy in a Ralph Lauren, aristocratic hunting lodge kind of way.
Rather than marching through the woods in stilettos (which I know she’s capable of doing), the Princess of Wales opted for stylish but practical brown lace-up ankle boots. She also wore a black T-shirt and skinny jeans, which she topped with an oversized gray blazer from Maje (per the Daily Mail) and a pendant necklace. William was dressed similarly, in a forest green blazer and brown shoes.
Kate Middleton always loves a blazer, obviously, but this is one of the rare times she’s gone for the trendier oversized style rather than a tailored fit. Next thing you know, she’ll be out here with a bob haircut and jorts. (Okay, probably not.)
