Ek Niranjan, opposite Prabhas, ended up as Kangana’s first and last Telugu project.
During an event in Hyderabad, Kangana Ranaut opened up on Prabhas and how she would like to meet him again, after a decade or so.
Kangana Ranaut is currently promoting her new Tamil movie, Chandramukhi 2. She was recently in Hyderabad with the film’s team. During a chat with the media about the movie, someone asked her if she’d work with Prabhas again, who she acted with in the Telugu film Ek Niranjan in 2009.
Talking about working with the Adipurush star again, Kangana, as quoted by Indian Express, said, “Of course, I would. I am so happy for his success. You know how he has been so incredibly successful as a pan-Indian star. We were both very young when we did that film (Ek Niranjan). I remember he was such a great host and treated us to such great food at his farmhouse. We were very young and used to be very chilled out. I remember we used to tease each other a lot. I would like to meet him for sure. I think it has been a decade or something like that. It would be so refreshing to see him.”
Ek Niranjan, a film centered around a bounty hunter, achieved commercial success despite receiving mixed reviews. Surprisingly, it marked Kangana’s debut and farewell to the Telugu film industry.
In Chandramukhi 2, Kangana Ranaut takes on the lead role alongside Raghava Lawrence. Directed by P Vasu, this sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2005 movie Chandramukhi is set to hit theaters on September 28th.
Last week, on September 20, the actress took to her Instagram handle and dropped a new teaser of the film. In the video, Kangana was seen dressed in her Chandramukhi avatar. She sported a red saree with heavy traditional jewellery.
In the caption of her post, Kangana expressed excitement for the film and wrote, “Just 8 more days to go! We’re excited to present you this horror-comedy packed with drama, emotions and non-stop entertainment!” Check it out here:
