Also jumping ship is Major’s PR firm The Lede Company, who parted ways with the actor in the last month.

Majors was arrested on March 25 over an alleged domestic dispute with a the 30-year old woman. The victim was taken to the hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck”.

Majors Claims He’s Innocent

With Major set to appear before a judge on May 8, his defense team has publicly declared the actor is innocent.

“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows,” Majors’ criminal defense attorney Priya Chaudhry told Deadline in a March 27 statement. “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”

Majors’ arrest came during a time when the actor was the king of the box office. He starred in both Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which grossed a combined $745 million.

What Will Marvel Do?

While speculation has run rampant that Marvel could evict Majors from the MCU, Deadline is reporting that no such discussions have taken place.

Majors made his MCU debut in Season 1 of Loki. He portrayed He Who Remains, a variant of Kang of the Conqueror.

Kang the Conqueror himself then appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, once again portrayed by Majors.

With Kang set to be the main antagonist in the next Avengers film, Marvel will not be removing the character completely. Instead, if need be, the studio would likely recast Kang.

Majors has however already filmed Season 2 of Loki, adding another headache for Marvel to deal with.

In the end, Majors will get his day in court. What Marvel will do next however, is anybody’s guess.
