Joey King would like you to get to know her fiancé, Steven Piet.
On July 2, the Kissing Booth actor shared a rare glimpse at her relationship with the filmmaker, whom she met on the set of her gripping 2019 Hulu mini-series, The Act. “This is my fiancé, Steven. I love him with my whole heart, and I wanted to show him off a lil ?,” King wrote in the caption of a TikTok video, which featured multiple clips of the couple driving, laughing, and dancing together.
“Just felt like making a video showing merely a fraction of how wonderful life is with you,” she wrote directly over the first clip.

Prior to getting together with her fiancé, Joey King was in a relationship with former costar Jacob Elordi for about one year in 2017 but has since sworn off dating actors. “I think that it’s awesome to date someone in your field, who gets it, but doing the same exact thing as somebody is tough,” she told Howard Stern in 2020. “It’s really tough.”
Well, it seems she got exactly what she was looking for, because King announced her engagement to fiancé Piet in March 2022—one month after Piet popped the question. “I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy,” she wrote on Instagram on March 1. “I never knew that a person’s presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you.”

She continued, “The date was 2/2/22 when you asked me to marry you and made me the luckiest lady alive. I love you more than an Instagram caption could ever do justice. Hanging out with you forever sounds like a real dream, so let’s do it.”
