The beloved actor Jeremy Renner a two-time Oscar nominee, and widely known for his role as Clint Barton, Hawkeye in The MCU is in “critical but stable condition” after sustaining serious injuries to his leg while plowing snow, Renner who has a house in Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, 25 miles near Reno was airlifted to the hospital. The accident is said to have took place on Sunday a source told Deadline.
Eyewitnesses say that Renner was plowing the road with a Snow plowing machine known as a Snowcat when the vehicle flipped over and accidentally ran over one of his legs. In an Instagram Video he posted from November 2022 you can see him using the same vehicle. TMZ reports that the vehicle’s safety features apparently failed, and caused it to roll over Renner’s leg causing him to lose significant amounts of blood. However, luckily a neighbor, who is a doctor, was able to begin to treat Renner on the scene until paramedics arrived.
On Sunday morning, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a “traumatic injury” at Renner’s residence at Mt Tahoe, public information officer Kristin Vietti told THR. “Upon arrival, deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital,” she continued. “Mr. Renner was the only involved party.” The major accident investigation team at the sheriff’s office is currently looking into the circumstances of the incident.”
His spokesperson said his family is with him now and he is “receiving excellent care.” He suffered from blunt chest trauma and underwent orthopedic injuries and surgery. Renner remains in the intensive care unit.

Another instagram post of his from 2021 shows his driveway covered in a blanket of snow with the caption reading “How would you feel if your driveway looked like this? I’m so happy Mother Nature dictates my day.”
In a recent interview on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Renner talked about his vision of fighting fires in Tahoe. “I’m actually building a station at the house in Tahoe because it is a hot zone for fires,” Renner told Clarkson when she asked about him being a volunteer fire chief. “I work with the fire departments up there and they are pretty awesome,” Renner said of the Tahoe region. “They are teaching me and helping me, and I still have to get some more hours in with them.”
According to the Reno Gazette Journal, a local paper from the area where the accident took place, the area saw a massive winter storm hit that caused 35,000 homes to lose power on New Year’s Eve according to the paper.
Jeremy Renner currently stars in Marvel’s Hawkeye series on Disney+ and the returning Paramount+ series The Mayor of Kingstown, as well as the Avengers and Captain America films.
