With Thanksgiving over, holiday movie season is in full swing. While we’re all about saving the best for last, sometimes you need to kick it all off with a true, indisputable classic: It’s a Wonderful Life. The 1946 Frank Capra film stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man down on his luck and reaching one of his lowest points on Christmas Eve, but thanks to his guardian angel, Clarence, George gets some much-needed perspective. There’s a reason It’s a Wonderful Life is widely considered one of the best films ever made — and if you haven’t seen it yet, after you do, you’ll understand why.
