Keeping up with everyone Selena Gomez may or may not be dating is becoming a full-time gig. The Only Murders In the Building star was supposedly dating Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers like five minutes ago. Now, she’s supposedly dating Zayn Malik, erstwhile of One Direction.
According to a TikTok creator who allegedly works as a host at a celeb-favorite restaurant in New York City, the creator’s friend, who also allegedly works as a host at that same NYC restaurant, escorted Gomez and Malik to their table and witnessed them holding hands and making out. The TikTok creator shared alleged screenshots of the alleged texts sent by her friend, describing the alleged Gomez-Malik hand-holding and out-making.

In her now viral video, the creator did her own investigative work, and was able to determine that Gomez is one of only 18 people that Malik follows on Instagram, while Malik is one of Gomez’s mere 250 million followees. “This shit’s ’bout to come out,” the creator concludes through giggles.
Now, if all this is giving you my-best-friend’s-sister’s-boyfriend’s-brother’s-girlfriend-heard-from-this-guy-who-knows-this-kid-who’s-going-with-a-girl-who-saw-Ferris-out-at-31-Flavors-last-night vibes, that’s because it is. Even Deux Moi has questions about the alleged hookup, commenting in an IG story that she hasn’t been able to independently confirm the Gomez and Malik story and, “usually when she’s out in NYC someone writes in seeing her and I always thought Zayn stayed in Pennsylvania.”
Another reason to perhaps take this story with a hefty grain of salt is that fans have been shipping a Zelena romance since long, long before this creator’s TikTok went viral. It’s possible that the Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik romance is nothing more than some social media users’ wishful thinking. Still, stranger couples have happened.
